Therapy

Therapy is a well written note for me, with decades of advancing in skill, expert listening, continued love of learning in the field, and honest connections with clients.

Theories and techniques have evolved with my career, landing in working with adults. The empowerment clients receive from positive psychology, using a growth mindset, and Gestalt are the foundations from where I come from.

Educating clients on how to care for themselves, reduce anxiety and depression, and how to thrive in this modern world is the best outcome possible. Exploration into mindfulness, the polyvagal theory, and somatic practices. Research has shown itself the intimate connection of the mind and body. Bottom-up techniques are powerful practices to release harbored and repressed emotions, often creating havoc in our physical body. And really, the body does not care about the story, it cares about the repressed emotions that need to be expressed.

With the love of learning and understanding the advancements in this field, I explore new tools to use in therapy that also involve technology. The attunement for our bodies and mind are essential for healing. There is a place for both ancient wisdom and our modern advances.
