about me
Supporting Women Through the Stress and Shifts of Midlife
I help women in midlife navigate chronic stress, hormonal changes, and the mental load of daily life. With over 20 years of experience as a therapist — and now as a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach — I bring a whole-person approach to healing that’s grounded in compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a place to land, be heard, and reconnect with the version of you that’s been buried under stress and expectation. That’s what I offer: space, support, and tools to help you move forward with clarity and calm.
My Path to This Work
My journey began with creativity and a love of learning. I earned my undergraduate degree in Art Education at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, then traveled west to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I completed my MA in Art Therapy from Southwestern College.
Returning to the Midwest, I built my life and practice in Southeastern Wisconsin, just outside Milwaukee. I’ve spent over two decades supporting individuals and families through emotional healing, personal growth, and life transitions.
Over time, my curiosity about the physical effects of stress led me deeper into integrative care. I became a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach to expand the tools I offer — blending my therapy background with lifestyle medicine, nervous system education, and mind-body practices.
My Approach
I believe therapy and coaching are most powerful when they’re integrated. The body and mind are not separate — what we carry emotionally shows up physically, and what’s happening in the body impacts how we think, feel, and relate.
My work is:
Therapy-Informed – Trauma-aware, emotionally grounded, and tailored to meet you where you are.
Whole-Person Wellness-Based – Including sleep, nutrition, movement, stress response, boundaries, and hormone balance.
Client-Led and Collaborative – You are the expert on your life; I provide guidance, insight, and support for change that lasts.
I also incorporate tools like HeartMath technology, motivational interviewing, SMART goal-setting, positive psychology, and appreciative inquiry — all designed to help you feel more connected to your body, your values, and your path forward.
The Personal Side of Me
Art, beauty, and creativity are still central to my life. While I no longer formally practice art therapy, I continue to create, collect, and appreciate art in my home and daily spaces — and I often invite creativity into my work with clients who share that value.
My husband and I love exploring new meals, creative chefs, and meaningful time with family. You'll often find me gardening, laughing with my stepdaughters, sharing quirky moments with our dogs, or sinking into the presence that comes with connection, food, and play.
I believe self-care is not indulgent — it’s necessary. These grounding practices help me stay present, whole, and able to support you with authenticity and heart.
